Finding people who believe what you believe.
Just think about how companies hire people. They run ads in the newspaper, online, or hire a recruiter to find someone. The process is the same. They provide a list of qualifications for the job and expect that the best candidate will be the one who meets those requirements. The issue is HOW companies write the ads and where they place focus. They are about the WHAT and not the WHY. Here’s an example of a typical ad: Account exec needed, minimum five years’ sales experience, marketing degree required, must have knowledge of industry, proficient in CRM, fast growing company with excellent pay and benefits. Ok, you will get people to respond by the truckloads, but how do you REALLY know if they are the right fit for your business???? Here’s what I mean.
With my marketing agency and my digital media agency and my networking business, I hire people with skills, but I try to attract people who want to work with me and understand WHY they want to work with me. Why? Because if they believe what I believe, they will do what I do. It’s a good fit. The result is a loyal workforce. My killer marketing group has extraordinary talent and they have worked with me for 20 years. And, I have aligned myself with some of the most talented, driven, committed leaders in my networking business. And yes, there are skills that must be learned and they can be taught. But that’s not what I am personally looking for. I am looking for people who are a good fit for my company.
Becoming a millionaire in any business is not convenient. But it’s possible. I’m always looking for the right person, with enormous ambition and the matching drive to achieve it. This business requires excessive business hours at times — early mornings, late nights, weekends and travel. You must be willing to sacrifice in the short-term to accelerate business processes and increase income. You must be 100% coachable, cope with and handle rejection with ease and know you will fail on your way to success. You must possess the courage to grow and step out of your comfort zone, make zero excuses, shift no blame, possess a positive mental attitude, have an extraordinary work ethic, and be a tenacious grinder and rainmaker. You do not believe quitting is an option in anything you do. “Quitters” need not apply.
Enormous success is very possible but it is not guaranteed. You will be mentored by my extraordinary team. But you must do the work. You must do what’s necessary. You must prepare to sacrifice.
